An apartment in a tourist area is rented to vacationing families. Therefore, the architects of the studio Structura Architects provided for eight sleeping places but carefully disguised them. Try to find it!
At first, the apartment seems like an ordinary apartment for a couple. A double bed was placed closer to the window.
There are a lot of mirrors in the apartment, but two main ones decorate the wall behind the head of the bed. So that they do not seem too huge, the architect enclosed them in frames of wooden slats.
Next to the bed is a bespoke sofa. It is essentially a bench with a mattress. But the walls next to it were decorated with quilted panels all the way to the ceiling.
The only coffee table can be used as a serving table. Its thin wireframe feels lightweight, weightless and takes up little space.
And now the most interesting thing is the number of sleeping places. According to the principle of pull-out cribs, two sleeping places were hidden under the bed, and one more under the sofa.
The tall chest of drawers under the TV opposite the bed is really nothing more than a narrow double bed. When it is not needed and hidden, guests may not even guess about its existence. This is especially convenient if the apartment is rented to a couple.
Part of the partition between the dining-living room and the kitchen was made deaf and built into the resulting niche shelves. But some were decorated with large beams that let natural light into the cooking area.
The dining table is also a secret. It has no legs because it was literally built into the closet. And the wall behind it was covered with a floor-to-ceiling mirrored panel, so it became completely invisible.
Even from the side of the kitchen, the wall was sheathed with a mirror to visually expand the tiny corner. The compact headset was made to order, but not from MDF, but from plywood. The architect admits that this allowed him to save money, and at the same time get better and more durable cabinets.
There are very few wardrobes in the apartment, but they are not needed by vacationers who come on weekends. But in the corner by the window, a table appeared – for make-up or work, if necessary. The wall behind him is also mirrored.
